Energy Efficiency 1 Phase Transformer
Anxious to contribute to the improvement of our environment, Bemag Transformers is proud to offer his new range of energy star units. Since January 1, 2005, we offer transformers to you which respect the new requirement of NRCan Natural Resources Canada.
This regulation is called C802.2, you can get more information on this norm by clicking here. In fact, this standard ensures you to have transformers with a maximum of effectiveness. This applies as much for the copper and aluminum transformers. The increase purchasing cost is quickly justified by lower operation costs.
In order to improve the effectiveness of its transformers, Bemag adapted a cutting technique which was used mainly for power transformers. This technique consists of a progressive 45o cut of the steel sheets. This technique commonly called "step-lapping", makes it possible to reduce the core losses up to 50% compared to standard 90o cut. In order to reduce the complexity of this technique, we developed robotized machines (Bemag exclusiveness) in order to produce our cores, which ensures us to have the highest accuracy and minimal losses.
Advantages
- Higher efficiency than with the conventional transformer
- Core entirely bolted to reduce the vibrations
- Fast investment recovery
- Core and enclosure heating reduction
- Noise level reduced
Characteristics
- Copper and Aluminum windings.
- Epoxy dipped.
- Adjustment taps at 2-3% FCAN & 2-3% FCBN.
- Nema 2 enclosures (up to 150Kva).
Options
- Temperature Rise of 115oC & 80oC.
- Electrostatic shield(s).
- K factors.
- Enclosure types: Nema 3R, Nema 4 ou Nema 12.
- Epoxy Vacuum Impregnation (V.P.I.).
